Simple game.
Good sports.

Competitive? Absolutely. But this is a for-fun event. Bring the hustle, respect the calls, and keep the holiday spirit on the field.

5innings per game
40minute time limit

Bats and balls are provided.
Leave outside equipment at home.

01

Rosters & coach pitching

  • Up to 6 active players on the roster for ages 10–15 and 16–adult. Each 9 & under team must have 6 active players and 1 coach.
  • One catcher must start behind home plate prior to each pitch.
  • The coach pitches to their team and must get out of the way of any batted ball.
  • You can bat all active players on a roster.
02

Umpires & scoring

  • This is a self-umpired, fun event. Coaches from each team work together to come up with the correct calls. This is competitive, but it is a FOR FUN event.
  • Teams select a scorekeeper responsible for keeping the running score of the game.
03

Game length & extra innings

  • All games are 5 innings. A run rule of 10 or more is in effect after 3 complete innings.
  • The time limit is 40 minutes. The home team finishes the inning after they bat. The team in the lead at the end of the inning wins.
  • Pool play games can end in a tie.
  • Bracket play has a 40-minute time limit, and the inning is completed after time expires.
  • Bracket play uses extra innings in the event of a tie. Teams start with one out and a runner on second base to open extra innings and play until there is a winner.
04

Fields & equipment

  • The distance between bases will be set prior to game time. The pitching rubber is 30 feet from home plate.
  • A wiffle ball bat and ball will be provided. All teams use the same equipment; outside bats or balls are not permitted.
05

Offense

  • A batter is allowed three strikes. After strike three, the batter is out. There are no walks.
  • Each team is permitted three offensive outs per inning.
  • Runners must keep their foot on base and cannot advance until the ball is batted.
  • Bunting is not allowed.
06

Defense

  • Baseball and softball gloves are not permitted. This is a bare-hand event. In cold weather, players may wear normal hand-warming gloves or batting gloves.
  • A batter is out if tagged, forced out at a base, caught on a ball in the air, or hit by a thrown wiffle ball.
  • The defensive setup consists of one catcher and five fielders. Catchers can catch foul balls for outs.
  • The ball is live until the progress of the lead runner on base has been stopped.
07

Pegging

  • Hitting a runner with a thrown wiffle ball is permitted.
  • The runner is safe if hit by any thrown ball above the shoulders.
  • The ball is always live on a pegging attempt until the progress of the lead runner has been stopped.
08

Sportsmanship

  • This is intended to be a FUN event. Poor behavior will not be tolerated.
